The position:
We are seeking a meticulous and organised Accounts Assistant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial records, supporting the team, and helping to maintain our high standards across the Finance function.
The successful candidate will understand how vital working capital management is to the successful management of the business, and as such, this newly created role will provide support in enabling us to optimise, enhance and future-proof our internal operations.
You'll be responsible for:
* Managing global Accounts Payable and Receivable ledgers end-to-end.
* Ensuring customers are settling to terms by taking responsibility for chasing and escalations.
* Being a key contributor in driving initiatives that improve debtor days and working capital management in general.
* Creating and presenting insightful reports including working capital analysis.
* Preparation of monthly expenditure vs. budget reviews to ensure correct cost allocations.
* Assisting the Management Accounting team with monthly cash flow planning & forecasting.
* Assisting with multi-currency bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.
* Collaborating with internal & external stakeholders in a timely manner.
You will have:
* AAT Qualified or equivalent.
* Experience in a similar role with strong understanding of accounting principles.
* Microsoft Dynamics D365 Business Central experience - desirable but not essential.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* The ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
* The ability to analyse data and make recommendations for improvements along with the presentation skills to communicate this to key stakeholders.
* Excellent writing skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience and skills.
Bonus: 10%
