2-3 month contract with a local authority Summary This is a 2-3 month contract with a local authority, where you will lead a team of social workers to deliver professional services that comply with legislative requirements and the Health Care Profession Council (HCPC) Code of Practice for Social Care Workers. Your leadership will be crucial in driving service improvements within social care, disabled children’s services, or fostering and adoption services. Responsibilities Provide operational leadership, vision, and direction for service improvement. Manage a team of 7 staff, including social workers, senior social workers, senior practitioners, and support staff. Ensure the team achieves its operational plan by promoting a positive culture, empowering team members, and maintaining high standards of practice. Essential Experience Significant professional social work confidence, supported by practice experience and learning. Proven track record in managing change and improving services/practices. Experience in delivering services through a regulatory inspection process. Experience in supervising students or social workers, fostering a positive team environment, and supporting performance. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, external agencies, children, and their families. Understanding of robust financial management. Essential Qualifications DipSW or equivalent Social Work qualification. Registration with Social Work England (SWE). Additional Information Working hours: 36.50 hours per week.
