We are exclusively supporting a long-established and growing SME manufacturing business, who due to continued growth are looking for a hands‑on Finance Officer to join their small, friendly finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid finance experience who is looking for progression. The role is varied and will involve day‑to‑day transactional finance, month‑end support, and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements. You will also supervise a Finance Assistant and work closely with senior management, allowing you to develop your skills and gain exposure to wider business operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Assisting with accruals and prepayments
* Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger
* BACs payment runs
* Daily bank reconciliations
* Assisting with cash management.
* Supporting year‑end accounts and working with external auditors.
* Monitoring stock movements and assisting with product costing.
* Reviewing and improving finance processes and internal controls.
About You
* AAT qualified, or working towards a recognised professional qualification.
* Strong understanding of management accounting and core finance processes.
* Sage accounting experience highly beneficial.
