Social Worker – Children Looked After Service
In Shropshire we aim for children to live with their families and where they cannot, with extended family members/friends, which results in a large number of children living with people that are connected to them. We believe that when children cannot live with connected carers that they should remain in Shropshire and have invested in our internal foster and residential services.
We have excellent services to support you in your role as a children’s social worker which includes Stepping Stones Service and Community Hubs, helping children to achieve permanency. We also have a range of training and tools to support you in your role of assessing, leading on care plans, delivering interventions and reviewing case work. Our social workers tell us that we have positive and supportive access to visible managers in the office and online, good quality supervision which takes place on a regular basis, and great opportunities for progression – a clear route from social work student to Chief Executive.
We would love to get to know you more so please give us a call if you would like to discuss this role or our team. You can contact us on Siobhan Hughes, Service Manager (email: siobhan.hughes@shropshire.gov.uk) or Emma Joyce, Operational Manager (email: emma.joyce@shropshire.gov.uk)
