The Venue

Utilita Arena Sheffield opened in 1991, is a vibrant multi-purpose venue that hosts world-class concerts, sporting events, and family entertainment. With a capacity of up to 13,600, it is one of the UK's premier indoor arenas, having welcomed legendary acts like Elton John, Arctic Monkeys, and Oasis. The “House of Steel” is also home to the Elite League Grand Slam championship-winning ice hockey team, the Sheffield Steelers. Known for its electric atmosphere and iconic performances, the arena offers an exciting, fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same.

Sheffield City Hall, a stunning Art Deco venue, has been a cultural landmark since its opening in 1932. Boasting three performance spaces, including the magnificent 2,271-seat Oval Hall, this historic venue hosts diverse events—from live music and comedy to conferences and community gatherings. Sheffield City Hall is at the heart of the city's vibrant entertainment scene with a rich history of performances by artists like The Beatles, David Bowie, and contemporary stars.

About the Role

Working across multiple venues, you will provide daily support to Account Managers enabling them to share their workload in busy periods. Your role will include cash and banking reconciliation, general administration duties, liaising with agents to manage ticketing allocations, customer service, financial reporting and recording up to date risk assessments. As Operation Support you will also assist with set up and delivery of events, supervising small teams and provide front of house cover on event nights.

This role will sit across Sheffield City Hall & Sheffield Arena

Key Responsibilities:

* To support the daily requirements of box office
* To operate and assist in any ticketing sales points
* To be responsible for all cash, cheque and card reconciliations
* Answer any customer enquiries including accessibility request and bookings
* Provide support for front of house team
* Maintain ticketing stock levels
* Liaise with tour companies to provide sales reporting and general information
* Deliver events across both venues
* Front of house cover when needed
* Manage weekly safe checks and maintain floats
* Provide, financial, sales and ticketing reports
* Build relevant ticketing offers liaising between promoters, TM Account Managers & Marketing
* Manage ticket inventory between venue and agents
* Be proactive in resolving customer issues
* Strive for continuous improvements in customer care
* Support Ticketing Account Managers to ensure the smooth running of events
* To undertake any other duties as requested by the management
* To ensure you are proactive in ensuring all counter terrorism measures within the venue are adequately implemented and to ensure all relevant training and information sharing in the venue and company counter terrorism practices and risk mitigations are undertaken

The knowledge, experience and skills essentially required for this role are as follows:
A desirable requirement would be as follows:

* Attention to detail & ability to work under pressure
* Excellent administrative skills – Office365
* Proficient excel skills
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
* Problem solving and initiative
* Previous experience in a fast-paced customer focused environment
* Positive, friendly approach.
* Previous Ticketing system experience (or similar)
* Experience of balancing event settlements
* Experience of supervising small teams
* Knowledge of risk assessments.
* Cash & banking reconciliation
