Salary: £30,000–£32,500 DOE
Hours: Rotating shifts (Earlies/Lates) + Saturday AM rota
Location: Corby (on-site)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We’re recruiting for a Transport Traffic Clerk to join a busy Traffic Office within a well-established logistics operation in Corby. This is a hands-on role supporting daily transport activity, coordinating drivers, shunters, trailers and warehouse loading, and ensuring service levels are met across time-critical movements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Driver briefing and debriefing at shift start/end
* Coordinating shunter movements and local trailer swaps between warehouses/sites
* Liaising with the warehouse to manage loading plans, bay activity and departure times
* Updating transport schedules and keeping time-sensitive loads on track
* Processing delivery documentation: PODs, manifests, paperwork and routine reporting
* Supporting fleet activity: logging defects, maintenance needs and escalating actions
* Communicating with drivers throughout the shift to maintain operational flow
* Managing issues as they arise and ensuring clear handovers between shifts
Requirements / Experience:
* Previous experience as a Transport Traffic Clerk / Traffic Clerk / Transport Administrator / Traffic Office Clerk (or similar)
* Good working knowledge of Working Time Directive (WTD) and tachograph rules
* Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and confidence with transport systems
* Full UK driving licence (Category B)
Shift Pattern (Rotating):
Week 1 – Earlies
* Monday: 05:00–14:00
* Tuesday–Friday: 06:00–15:00
Week 2 – Lates
* Monday–Friday: 14:00–22:00
Saturday AM shifts worked on a rota.
