Responsibilities:
* Direct, organise, and motivate a high performing team.
* Oversee inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities.
* Ensure work is done efficiently and to the highest standards.
* Prioritise safety by establishing safety arrangements and ensuring compliance with safe systems of work.
* Control and check the quality of work and the competence of team members.
* Maintain assets and ensure all equipment and materials are fit for purpose.
* Compile vital reports related to the work.
About the role (External):
* Experience in organising and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work.
* Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing.
* Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques.
* Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and instructions.
* Strong leadership skills with a clear sense of direction.
* Hold IRSE faulting and maintenance licence 1.4.230 or be working towards it.
* Good experience with S&T equipment including POINTS IBCL, RCPL, HPSS, HW2000, SIGNALS, SL35, LED, BANNER, TPWS, AWS, SSI, TRACK CIRCUIT, HVI, REED, AXLE COUNTER, 843 BARRIERS, TREADLES, and fault finding.
* Willing and able to drive vehicles as required.
* This role involves days, nights, and weekend work. It is a safety-critical role requiring drug and alcohol testing and passing relevant medical assessments.
