Role Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Nursery Assistants to support nurseries across Abingdon and surrounding areas, providing flexible work with competitive pay rates and an excellent opportunity for gaining rewarding Early Years experience in a variety of settings. This temporary role is open to both experienced and inexperienced candidates, helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children in childcare and education settings.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily routines, learning activities, and play in nursery settings, creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents, and supporting the nursery team in delivering high-quality care and education. Adapt to different nursery settings and flexible working schedules, ensuring a high level of flexibility and dedication to childcare and Early Years education.
Required Skills & Experience
No previous experience is required for this nursery assistant role — we welcome beginners and individuals looking to start a career in childcare and education. Empathetic with a proactive, “can-do” attitude, passion for childcare and Early Years education, willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check if not already held, and ability to work flexibly and build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents are essential for success in this role.
