This role is for a proactive Bookkeeper / Account Manager to manage the full financial operations of two sister companies in the health, safety, and wellbeing sector. It's a standalone position requiring strong Xero skills, SME experience, and the ability to handle everything from VAT and payroll to reporting and compliance. Client Details Small dynamic business in the health, safety, and wellbeing sector, operating two connected limited companies with a combined turnover of around £1 million. They offer a flexible working structure and are seeking a skilled bookkeeper to manage all financial operations independently, including VAT, payroll, and reporting, using Xero and Salesforce. Description Standalone role managing day-to-day financial operations for two sister companies Full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivable Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of cash flow forecasts and management accounts End-to-end payroll processing and commission calculations VAT return preparation and submission Liaison with subcontractors and internal team for smooth financial operations Coordination with external accountant for annual accounts Support HR functions and subcontractor compliance General administrative support as needed Requires 3 years' experience in finance or accounts administration Strong proficiency in Xero and excellent attention to detail Flexible working pattern: 3 full days or 5 shorter days per week Office basedProfile A successful Account Manager / Bookkeeper should have: Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance or accounts administration role Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and take full ownership of financial tasks Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills Proactive and adaptable with a can-do attitude Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities across two companies Office-based work Able to handle payroll, VAT returns, and financial reporting Willing to support HR functions and general administration as neededJob Offer 3 day working week Free Parking - 5 mins from the station A permanent PART TIME position in the healthcare industry.
