Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who is looking for a leadership opportunity in a dynamic clinical environment?
We have an exciting Senior Sister/Charge Nurse opportunity in Scarborough Outpatient Department.
You will lead and manage the large Outpatient team in running specialist clinics and provide patients with treatments and procedures. The clinics compromise a broad range of specialities and you will liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
You will have line management responsibility for the Outpatient team including developing their knowledge and skills to best support specialised clinical activity.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
1. Work with the Matron to lead the development of the department nursing practice reflecting the Trust Strategy
2. Provide a clinical lead and role model to the nursing team by delivering high quality patient care
3. Utilise clinical audit data and patient feedback to influence changes in clinical care delivery and improve patient experience
4. Line manage the nursing team including recruitment, performance support and workforce planning
5. Support the senior leadership team and operational colleagues in developing outpatient transformation programmes aligned to The NHS 10 Year Health Plan

13. Registered Nurse (Level 1)
14. Recognised teaching/assessing qualification

15. Degree in Nursing

16. At least 18 months post registration experience at Band 6
17. Experience of managing and leading a team
