About the role Hale Country Club & Spa is recruiting for a full-time Sous Chef to join our team. We are looking for talented individuals with a passion to create delicious food from freshly cooked ingredients, ready to deliver exceptional service and enhance the dining experience for our esteemed members and guests. Plan the daily operations of all kitchen sections to meet service standards. Oversee cost management and control. Manage rotas in accordance to business levels Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assurance Manage and maintain a clean, safe working environment. Adhere to health and safety policies at all times. Ensure proper stock rotation and food quality assurance. Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities. Contribute to menu development with creative ideas that enhance dining experiences Follow recipes and presentation specifications. Ensuring the cleanliness standards are kept. Manage a clean and efficient kitchen department. Take charge of running shifts. Ensure producing food on time, consistently and accurately. What Skills and Experience do I need for this role? Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment in a similar role Great attitude towards work & colleagues Desire to learn new skills & passion for food Ability to track expenses and manage a budget Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Knowledge of best cooking practices and understanding of trends and new styles Attention to detail and high standards of presentation, creative flair and imagination Experience working in a diverse environment Good communication and Team-working skills THG Ingenuity is proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
