To succeed as a Restaurant Shift / Floor Manager, you should be a strong leader and positive team player with previous experience in the restaurant and customer service sectors within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and flexibility to work various hours (including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) are essential.

Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
Customer Service
* Leading by example, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
* Focusing on customer needs in all aspects of restaurant operations.
* Managing staff schedules to meet customer demand.
* Supporting the team to maintain operational efficiency.
* Conducting regular store walks to ensure quality from the customer's perspective.
People Management
* Encouraging staff to share suggestions and concerns.
* Providing feedback, setting goals, and supporting team development.
* Creating a positive team environment, ensuring dignity and respect for all employees, and adhering to anti-discrimination policies.
* Managing performance issues in collaboration with HR.
Driving Sales
* Understanding sales patterns, popular products, and peak times, and adjusting accordingly.
* Ensuring products are correctly merchandised and adequately stocked, supporting marketing campaigns.
* Training staff to upsell and suggestive sell.
* Continuously evaluating opportunities for improvement, motivating staff through incentives.
Operations
* Monitoring KPIs such as sales, staff turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
* Maintaining composure under pressure and setting an example for the team.
* Managing weekly stock orders and quality checks on incoming stock.
* Scheduling preventative maintenance and calibration for equipment.
* Managing inventory levels.
* Overseeing opening and closing procedures.
* Ensuring cleanliness, food quality, hygiene, speed of service, and hospitality standards are maintained.
* Implementing health and safety protocols, reporting incidents promptly to the Regional Manager.
* Being available to work various shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
* Previous experience managing restaurants.
* A flexible, disciplined approach to work.
* Experience in a food environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Commitment to high standards of food hygiene and safety.
* Experience handling customer complaints.
* Adherence to health and safety procedures.
