Private Podiatry Clinic | Fareham, Hampshire

This is not a traditional practice manager role!
We’re looking for a senior operational leader to act as the Integrator to the Founder’s vision, someone who can turn strategy into action, bring clarity and structure, and hold the team accountable.
You will ensure the clinic runs professionally, predictably, and efficiently, while embedding our philosophy of care-led leadership.
Why This Role Matters

* Lead a small team of clinicians and administrators with confidence, clarity, and compassion
* Introduce consistent processes, strong KPIs, and high-performance standards
* Support the Founder in executing strategy and improving efficiency and profitability
* Be a hands-on leader who can step in to support the team when needed
Your Responsibilities
Operational Leadership

* Bring order and structure to documentation, SOPs, and Google Drive
* Ensure smooth, efficient day-to-day operations
Performance & KPIs
* Monitor and manage clinical, administrative, and financial performance
* Make decisions based on data, logic, and evidence
* Address underperformance calmly, clearly, and constructively
People Leadership
* Lead, manage, and develop a team of c.10 clinicians and administrators
* Inspire high standards, ownership, and pride in the business
* Step in to support the team as needed
* Represent the business and Founder, not act as a buffer for the team
* Embed intent-based leadership philosophy to build resilience and avoid single points of failure
Commercial & Strategic Support
* Implement Founder priorities and strategic direction
* Support improvements in efficiency, utilisation, and profitability
* Build robust management infrastructure to enable growth and consistency
Professional Representation
* Be a visible, credible leader to patients, suppliers, and partners
* Communicate confidently and compellingly
* Uphold and elevate the clinic’s brand, reputation, and commitment to excellence
Who We’re Looking For
* Highly organised, analytical, and commercially minded
* Calm, objective, and logical under pressure
* Confident holding people accountable
* Strong IT, systems, and data capability
* Leads without drama, defensiveness, or emotional decision-making
* Embeds compassion and care in leadership decisions
We welcome candidates from private healthcare or other founder-led service businesses where high standards, performance management, and customer experience are critical.
Relevant experience might include:
* Private healthcare, dental, optical, or aesthetic clinics
* Hospitality or premium service businesses
* Professional services (accountancy, legal, financial advisory)
* Education, childcare, or other regulated service environments
Healthcare experience is helpful but not essential; leadership, structure, and commercial thinking are the priorities.
This Role is NOT for You If…
* You want a traditional, task-based practice manager role
* You avoid difficult conversations or accountability
* You make decisions based on emotion over data
* You prioritise harmony over performance
* You resist change or struggle with growth and structure
* You are not open to feedback, coaching, or ongoing development
This role requires maturity, objectivity, leadership presence, and a commitment to care-led decision-making.
What We Offer
* Salary: £45,000 – £52,000 (depending on experience)
* Quarterly team performance related bonus
* Private healthcare
* 23 days holiday + bank holidays (rising 1 per year to 30)
* 5 days paid sick leave
* Circa £12,000+ per year in leadership development:
