Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef, ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times.
2. Station Management: Oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station, maintain your designated area with supplies, and ensure cleanliness in accordance with policies and procedures.
3. Quality Control: Maintain high quality standards for all dishes, paying attention to presentation and taste.
4. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, support colleagues, and coach junior chefs to aid their development.
5. Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef to develop and taste new recipes, offering suggestions for improvements or innovations.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the kitchen and your area clean and organized, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role, preferably at least 3 years in a professional kitchen.
2. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
3. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
