We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Primary School Caretaker to join our team on a temporary, 2-week rolling basis. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves a variety of tasks including cleaning, minor repairs, and general maintenance of the school premises.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Assist in the daily cleaning of classrooms, corridors, toilets, and other school areas.
Ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
Security:
Assist in the opening and closing of the school premises.
Ensure the security of the school buildings and grounds.
Monitor and report any security issues to the Head Caretaker.
Health and Safety:
Follow health and safety procedures to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and visitors.
Report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
Assist in emergency procedures and drills.
Support Services:
Set up and dismantle equipment for school events and activities.
Assist with the delivery and distribution of supplies and materials.
Provide support to the Head Caretaker and other staff as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.
Ability to perform minor repairs.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
