Here at Lonza, we have a great opportunity available for a Scientist/Senior Scientist to join our Early Development Services department. This is a permanent position based out of our Cambridge facility.
The role involves the isolation and banking of human primary cells, and the design and execution of various in vitro cell-based bioassays for multiple client projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilising existing assay platforms to assess the immune response to therapeutic molecules
2. Isolation, banking, and characterisation of human PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cells)
3. Improvement and development of assay platforms

What we need you to have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences/Immunology
* Master's Degree/PhD or equivalent experience in Biological Sciences/Immunology
* Previous experience with PBMC and/or primary immune cell culture in assays using strong aseptic technique
* Experience with immunological techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISpot/FluoroSpot, Luminex, ELISA, or live cell imaging to assess immune cell function
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Excellent record keeping and attention to detail
Nice to have:
* Understanding of human immunology and bioassay development
