Overview
MWH have now been awarded projects at Dukinfield, Aston‑Under‑Lyne, Arnfield, Godley, Hyde, Wigan and Skelmersdale across the AMP8 Framework Agreement with United Utilities. We are looking to strengthen our Construction and Project delivery teams with Section Engineers assigned to a project or section within our programme of work. Reporting to the Senior Site Engineer or Sub‑Agent, you will be part of the Site Engineering team, leading technical delivery, engineering control, and quality assurance. Ensure activities are planned, executed, and handed over safely, accurately, and in line with design and programme requirements. Working within a multidisciplinary delivery team, you will translate design into buildable solutions, coordinate with planning, commercial, temporary works and construction teams, and support the performance of subcontractors and direct labour. You will also mentor junior engineers, drive right‑first‑time delivery, and help maintain a culture focused on safety, collaboration, continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Planning & Progress Control
* Produce short‑term (1‑4 week) programmes aligned with the project programme.
* Support lookahead planning, coordination of interfaces and sequencing of multiple subcontractor activities.
* Maintain accurate records of progress, delays and change events.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
* Coordinate effectively with internal disciplines (commercial, planning, design, temporary works, SHEQ).
* Engage openly with non‑working supervisors, subcontractors and the client to ensure aligned expectations.
* Support collaborative planning sessions, problem‑solving meetings and daily coordination briefings.
* Build strong working relationships with subcontractors guiding them through technical and quality requirements.
* Communicate engineering decisions clearly and professionally ensuring understanding across all levels.
Digital Engineering & Innovation
* Apply digital tools for surveying, quality management and programme reporting (BIM, AutoCAD, Pix4D).
* Capture as‑built information digitally to support handover and asset information requirements.
* Identify opportunities for digital optimisation, automation or improved data capture.
* Promote innovation and new technology to drive productivity and reduce risk.
