We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused People Coordinator to be the first point of contact for all colleague and leader queries across our organisation. Acting as the gateway to the People team, you’ll provide a responsive, solution-focused service, triaging requests and ensuring colleagues receive timely and accurate support.
This is a key role in delivering a smooth, efficient and positive colleague experience across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding new starters to supporting leavers and everything in between.
You’ll be part of a collaborative People team, reporting into the People Operations Partner, and playing an important role in ensuring our services are consistent, compliant, and continuously improving.
Most importantly, you’ll be an ambassador for our values, working in line with The Aster Way and restorative principles to deliver an exceptional internal customer experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a People Coordinator, you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for all People-related queries from colleagues, leaders, payroll and external stakeholders

- Ensure all employee data and records are maintained correctly within HR systems such as Dayforce, ServiceNow, and SharePoint
- Support Right to Work checks, DBS processes, and other compliance requirements
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and ensure GDPR compliance at all times
- Support colleagues and leaders in using HR systems and self-service tools confidently
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the colleague experience
- Collaborate with the wider People team to ensure a seamless and consistent service
- Support wider People initiatives, projects, and occasional site-based activities when required
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in an HR or customer service environment
- Confident handling high-volume queries in a fast-paced setting
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office (experience with HRIS such as Dayforce or similar is an advantage)
- Knowledgeable about GDPR and the importance of handling sensitive data
- Customer-focused, proactive, and solutions-driven in your approach
- Ideally working towards or holding a CIPD Level 3 qualification (or willing to work towards it)
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your HR career in a supportive and collaborative People team where you’ll gain exposure to the full employee lifecycle and play a key role in shaping the colleague experience.
