An award-winning electronics manufacturer in South Wales is currently looking to strengthen its research and development department with the key acquisition of a Project Manager. With investment secured for the next 5 years, this company is in a leading position to capitalise on the market growth. The business has a healthy order book and exciting development plans, making it an excellent time to join the company.
Role & Responsibilities:
Manage New Product Development and sustainability projects by coordinating a multi-disciplined NPD team to deliver projects within specified timelines and budgets.
* Lead and manage projects involving electrical, software, and mechanical engineering disciplines to ensure successful delivery on time, within budget, and according to QMS requirements.
* Collaborate with technical leads to ensure project requirements are addressed.
* Create and maintain project plans, ensuring milestones are met.
* Chair project meetings and provide regular updates to R&D management and Group Leadership.
* Participate in project tasks such as Risk Analysis, Usability, and Specification when necessary to meet schedules.
* Contribute to resource planning and management as needed.
* Drive design transfer of new products into manufacturing.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Degree in an Engineering discipline.
* At least 3 years of industry experience managing projects.
* Experience in the medical or electronics sectors is advantageous.
