Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Agricultural Service Technician to join the existing team at our Littleport branch, based in Cambridgeshire. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Agricultural (but not limited to) machinery that is sold by the company’s sales department.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with agricultural or horticultural machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults using the latest software and carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal jobs.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers as required.
- Work independently using your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Adhere to health and safety practices and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a good general level of health and fitness.
- Provide excellent customer service in a customer-facing role.
Requirements
- Proven experience within the agricultural industry is advantageous.
- Full valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift heavy machinery and use tools as required.
- Self-motivated with a professional appearance.
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with customers and suppliers.
Details
- Start date: Immediate, subject to candidate notice period.
- Hours: 39 hours per week, 8am–5pm (Mon–Thu), 8am–4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch). Overtime paid at time and a half on weekdays after 39 hours; Sundays or Bank Holidays paid at double time.
- Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, plus company vehicle.
