Our client, a well-established automotive accident repair centre in Tewkesbury, is actively seeking a qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their team. This Vehicle Damage Assessor position offers a significant opportunity for an experienced professional to develop their career within a reputable organisation. The Vehicle Damage Assessor will be responsible for delivering accurate estimates, coordinating repairs, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. Benefits: Competitive starting salary from £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays, increasing with service Availability of ongoing technical training and professional development Workplace pension scheme Standard 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Duties as a Vehicle Damage Assessor: The Vehicle Damage Assessor will prepare manual and computerised estimates efficiently, ensuring compliance with manufacturer, insurer, and customer specifications Maintain detailed records of all estimates, verifying that work without prior authorised approval is flagged and addressed appropriately Seek authorisation before starting any work not automatically approved, then manage subsequent communication The Vehicle Damage Assessor will liaise with bodyshop personnel to ensure full understanding of the work scope as per estimates Manage cases where vehicles are deemed total losses, liaising with insurers and bodyshop teams accordingly Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies relevant to the role and environment Uphold high standards of customer care and satisfaction through accurate and timely assessments Requirements: Extensive experience in vehicle estimating, with Audatex qualification or training highly desirable Strong background in automotive accident repair with transferable skills considered ATA accreditation or manufacturer-approved training is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided Valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Contact Sarena Abbott, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Cheltenham and Gloucestershire, today to discover more about this fantastic opportunity.
