Business: Scottish Power Renewables - EA2
Duration: initial contract to 31st Dec 2026, with renewal in line with the project requirements (2028 estimate)
Location: London or Glasgow/hybrid style working
Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available

ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) is appointed as the Principal Designer for the East Anglia Two (EA2) project. The Project Engineering Manager has the role of Principal Designer Lead on the projects and is responsible for ensuring that SPR fulfils the duties of a Principal Designer (PD) under the CDM 2015 Regulations. Working as part of the Design Assurance team, the CDM PD Coordinator will be key in supporting the Engineering Manager in fulfil this remit.
The CDM PD Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring the development of the design ensuring CDM compliance (PD approach) throughout the lifecycle of the project, where hazard identification and safety is a priority. They must ensure that all Designers working on the project comply with their duties under CDM ensuring that they co-operate with each other and liaise with the Principal Contractor (PC) for the duration of the project.
