Veterinary Assistant Overview
All Dogs & Cats Veterinary Hospital, located in New Castle, Colorado, is a AAHA-accredited small animal facility dedicated to high medical standards. As a Veterinary Assistant you will support the medical team in patient care, maintenance, and client interactions within an environment that values professional development and work‑life balance.
Responsibilities
* Provide essential patient care, assisting veterinarians and technicians with hands‑on care and ensuring every animal is treated with compassion and respect.
* Act as the backbone of the clinic by anticipating the needs of the medical team for a smooth, efficient workflow.
* Create a positive client experience by helping with scheduling, payments, and communications in a courteous manner.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment, performing clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance to uphold high care standards.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Calm and efficient approach, able to handle a fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
* Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills, such as laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology (strong asset).
