Position: Kitchen Assistant
Hours: 29 hrs per week
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Location: Penwortham Lodge - Martin Field Road, Penwortham, Preston, Lancashire, PR1 9HL
Role and Responsibilities
* Help deliver personalised menu plans to ensure everyone is treated with dignity and that individual rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.
* Assist in the preparation of a range of meals to suit individual tastes and requirements; demonstrate a caring nature toward others.
* Engage with residents in a friendly and kind manner; ensure dietary preferences and needs are met and create a positive dining experience for everyone.
* Provide support to residents to support physical and mental wellbeing through quality nutritional experiences.
* Contribute to a learning and development culture; participate in training and progression opportunities across the portfolio of homes.
Requirements
* Cook/Kitchen Assistant experience, preferably gained in a care home setting.
* Commitment to a high standard of professionalism, flexibility and care in a residential setting.

Penwortham Grange & Lodge - a modern and bright care home in Penwortham, specialising in care for older people. Penwortham Grange provides 24-hour residential care for 44 residents, while the separate Penwortham Lodge gives round the clock additional dementia support for 42 elderly residents.
