Following notable underwriting growth and investment, we have a newly created role in our Distribution leadership team. You will manage a team of Account Managers to lead broker/client management and distribution strategy across the South East, partnering with local major trading, Tier 1, and development brokers to ensure key business metrics are achieved, supporting our wider UK business plan covering property, casualty, and motor products.
Your New Role:
Strategy and Planning
* Contribute to designing the Distribution Proposition, including action plans and scorecards for key brokers, aligned with underwriting strategy and regional business plans.
* Monitor and report on broker plan progress, addressing underperformance in new business, renewal retention, and ongoing actions.
* Engage with regional brokers to understand their strategies and needs, ensuring alignment with QBE's strategy.
* Coordinate with the wider Distribution and Partnership Management team to align activities with global and UK objectives.
* Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and presentations for meetings and conferences.
* Lead internal and external meetings, workshops, and distribution initiatives.
* Manage the Broker panel to meet business plan objectives.
* Establish clear accountabilities and support structures for team objectives, with goals noted in Workday.
* Oversee employee engagement, talent development, and performance, fostering a culture of accountability and performance rooted in our QBE DNA.
About You:
* Proven experience in commercial insurance broking or related roles such as underwriting or account management.
* Strong relationship management and distribution experience within the insurance market.
* People management skills with the ability to lead and support teams.
* Effective communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational skills, including work planning and prioritization.
