We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us at HMP Prisons as part of the multidisciplinary team offering Mental Health and Wellbeing Services to the populations of HMP Norwich, HMP Bure, and HMP Wayland. A very warm welcome awaits you!
If you want a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day in an environment that never stands still, then this is definitely the job for you! Prisons are among the most challenging yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals.
We are looking to recruit a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team.
Qualified applicants will hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies.
You will work as part of a diverse and supportive team of Psychological Therapists, PWPs, nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists. We offer our team members opportunities for continuous development through training and growth in different areas of our service.
Please Note
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications for a trainee position.
What makes us different?
Our service employs an integrated model from arrest to release from prison, allowing PWPs and the wider team to understand the full process and journey of the service user. This model fosters collaboration and a joined-up approach. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the team, help us build, shape, and grow our service. We want to hear your ideas.
The role will be based across the three prisons.
Our trust values are Positively, Respectfully, and Together. We seek team members who embody these values.
If you have not worked in this setting, we encourage you to contact us before applying to arrange an informal visit. This also provides a great opportunity to meet our team and understand the role's realities.
What can we offer?
NSFT Secure Mental Health Services have been consistently rated 'Good' by the CQC.
Our services are part of a broad and expanding clinical network linked to criminal justice services. As part of the wider NSFT Secure Services Psychology Team, you will receive excellent clinical supervision, professional support, and governance.
