Bank Healthcare Cleaning Professional – Domestic Assistant, Leighton Hospital - Bank
Located at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Responsibilities
* Provide, maintain cleaning services in all public, patient, staff and residential areas.
* Respond quickly and efficiently to cleaning requests following spillages.
* Deliver specialist cleaning processes for furnishings, flooring and surfaces.
* Clean general and patient equipment in accordance with instructions from Infection Control, Matrons and Facilities Managers.
* Clean isolation and infection areas in accordance with Trust Infection Control Policy.
* Prepare patient areas for re‑occupancy.
* Assist in maintaining safe and tidy ward/department areas by removing clutter and out‑of‑date notices.
* Report cleanliness problems to the housekeeper or supervisor.
* Dispose of household, confidential and clinical waste in accordance with legislation and Trust policy.
* Maintain and clean manual and electrical cleaning equipment.
* Be aware of the safety of other people’s property and belongings.
* Maintain confidentiality and privacy of information at all times.
* Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines, and alert senior management if practice contravenes policy.
* Wear PPE as provided.
* Provide good customer service to patients, family members and visitors.
Qualifications and Experience
* Good standard of general education, including Mathematics and English Language.
* Experience working in a healthcare area.
* Experience working with the general public.
* Completion of a Cleaning Services training programme.
* Knowledge of the National Specification for Cleaning and Monitoring procedures.
* Good time‑keeping.
