This unique role combines hands-on support with operational leadership, offering the chance to shape and inspire a small team of Personal Assistants (PAs) delivering person-centred care for a woman with autism and a learning disability, living independently in her own home. Your Key Responsibilities * Deliver care that respects dignity, independence, and choice. * Support daily routines, personal care, community activities, and holidays. * Supervise, mentor, and appraise a small team of dedicated PAs. * Manage rotas, annual leave, absence, and team wellbeing. * Keep accurate records and contribute to care plans and risk assessments. * Attend reviews and liaise with family members and health professionals. * Ensure full compliance with training, policies, and CQC standards. * Oversee medication, infection control, and health & safety. * Use digital systems confidently for scheduling and reporting. * Share responsibility for the on-call rota to ensure 24/7 support coverage. What We're Looking For * Proven experience supporting individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team. * Excellent organisational and communication skills. * Calm under pressure, emotionally resilient, and solution-focused. * Confident with digital systems and writing reports. * A flexible approach to working hours, including alternate weekends. Essential Requirements * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. * Experience in a care or support role. * Willingness to work flexibly as part of a 24/7 support structure. * A clear commitment to person-centred, inclusive care practices. * Female applicants only – due to the personal care needs of the individual supported (Schedule 9, Equality Act 2010).
