This role offers the opportunity to join our crisis and home treatment services in West London. The post involves working with the psychology team, including a Principal Clinical Psychologist and a Clinical Associate in Psychology, based in the Hounslow team.
The post-holder will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to manage risk and provide psychological insights into care. Responsibilities include assessment, formulation, brief interventions for service users and families, reflective practice, team formulation, consultation, and post-incident support. The role also involves supervising and line-managing the Clinical Associate in Psychology and providing placements for trainee psychologists and MSc students.
Hounslow Crisis Assessment and Home Treatment Team offers a service for adults experiencing mental health crises requiring intensive home-based support and treatment, aiming to prevent hospital admissions. The role includes conducting assessments and brief interventions in service users’ homes.
Main Duties
1. Providing comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, formulation, risk assessment, and evidence-based brief interventions.
2. Offering indirect support by providing psychological advice and consultation to the multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical meetings and team formulation.
3. Enhancing the MDT’s psychological knowledge and skills through teaching, training, and supervision.
