Role Purpose
We are looking for a floor layer with experience within social housing to carry out high-quality installation, repair, and maintenance of flooring systems across domestic and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and delivering excellent service to clients and residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, repair, and maintain a variety of flooring types, including:
* Vinyl (Polysafe, safety flooring, cap and cove)
* Carpet & carpet tiles
* Laminate and engineered wood
* LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles)
* Prepare subfloors, including:
* Screeding, latex self-levelling, and ply boarding
* Accurately measure, cut, and fit flooring materials to specification.
* Ensure all works are completed to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
* Carry out floor finishing including welding, coving, trimming, and edging.
* Conduct site surveys and provide accurate labour/material requirements.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
* Liaise with residents, site supervisors, and contractors professionally.
* Adhere to all company, client, and health & safety requirements, including use of PPE and waste disposal.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Floor Layer in domestic or commercial environments.
* Strong knowledge of safety flooring, cap and cove, and wet room installations.
* Skilled in subfloor preparation methods (latex, ply).
* Own tools and transport .

Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £200.00-£250.00 per day
