Job Title:
Commissioning Engineer EC&I
Location: Sellafield Site, UK Cumbria
Job Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer (EC&I) to support the Box Encapsulation Plant (BEP) project at the Sellafield Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a range of commissioning activities across the Instrumentation and Control (EC&I) discipline, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of nuclear commissioning objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Witness and verify vendor testing at works test stage
* Prepare plant commissioning test specifications
* Conduct early inspections of site installations to facilitate timely system handovers
* Perform testing activities throughout the IPC commissioning phase
* Identify faults and propose effective technical solutions
* Organise and manage Commissioning Technicians and support resources
* Initiate and implement Findings of Benefit (FOBs)
* Validate Working Level Instructions (WLIs)
* Apply and remove Temporary Commissioning Aids (TCAs) as required
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in nuclear CE&I systems commissioning
* Minimum HNC/HND in an Engineering-related discipline
* Solid understanding of nuclear commissioning processes
* Familiarity with project management principles (preferably APM membership)
* Competent in producing technical calculations using Excel
* IOSH Managing Safely certification
* SMSTS or SSSTS certification
* Valid CSCS/ECS Supervisory Card appropriate to trade
Design Tools/Software Proficiency:
* Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
