Contract - Secondment 5 Months
Base - York or Scarborough
The post holder will be responsible for auditing and providing specialist advice on Estates Compliance across the Trust as part of the Resources Division in YTHFM.
This includes reporting on assurance that systems and processes are safe, available for their intended use, and comply with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. They will also provide specialist building and engineering expertise to estates staff, directors, senior management, and external agencies to support service improvement.
The post holder will be registered and qualified as an Authorised Person (AP) in a technical discipline, e.g., Medical Gas, for their site. Responsibilities include monitoring statutory engineering tests, scheduling audits, developing action plans, and ensuring inspections are completed per HTM requirements, with reports provided for various management groups.

The role may become permanent at the end of the fixed term/secondment.
Main duties of the job
* Possess an engineering qualification to degree level or equivalent experience.
* Experience in statutory and mandatory training, and supporting service improvement.
* Provide expert advice to manage compliance and ensure systems are safe and compliant.
* Schedule audits, develop action plans, and monitor statutory tests and inspections.
* Oversee compliance of installation, services, and systems, ensuring adherence to legislation, NHS guidance, and standards.
* Manage engineering compliance and provide monthly updates on key systems.
* Lead compliance monitoring and reporting related to workplan audits and training records.
* Handle difficult situations confidently and support the Estates team.
* Contribute to the Trust’s assurance and performance targets.

* Thorough knowledge of engineering aspects and HTMs.

* Knowledge of NHS Premises assurance Model (PAM).
Education, Qualifications, and Training
* Degree-level engineering qualification plus Masters-level knowledge or equivalent.
