Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bispham who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Assistant to work with a child in Year 5 with ADHD, starting in September.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position, providing consistent, tailored support throughout the school day to help the pupil access learning, regulate behaviour, and build confidence. The ideal candidate will have a calm, patient manner and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with ADHD
Implement strategies to support concentration, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to adapt activities and routines
Monitor and report progress and behaviour
Requirements:
Experience working with children with ADHD or similar needs is desirable
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A nurturing, resilient and flexible approach
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
