Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live in Carer 's to join our team in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. In this rewarding role, you will provide comprehensive support to both individual and coupleclients within their homes, enabling them to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering person-centred care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. You will work closely with clients and care teams to ensure their wellbeing, safety, and comfort while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
* Provide personalized personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing.
* Prepare nutritious meals and assist with eating, drinking, and dietary requirements
* Administer medication support in accordance with care plans and professional training
* Offer genuine companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
* Encourage social interaction and facilitate meaningful activities tailored to client interests
* Deliver person-centered care approaches, particularly for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment through light housekeeping duties
* Monitor client wellbeing and promptly report any changes or concerns to the care team
* Maintain accurate, confidential, and detailed care records
* Respond to client needs with flexibility, efficiency, and a collaborative spirit
* Demonstrate resilience and problem-solving abilities in day-to-day situations
Qualifications
* Previous experience in care settings, home care, senior care, or nursing environments (is essential)
* A kind, patient, and genuinely compassionate nature with a client-focused approach
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a care team
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Reliability, punctuality .
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing client needs
* Problem-solving abilities and initiative
* Right to work in the United Kingdom (essential)
