The Role of a Cover Supervisor

* Prior experience working with secondary school:aged young people (e.g., in a paid or voluntary capacity).
* A genuine passion for supporting young peoples learning and development.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness for one)

Key Responsibilities
* Supervising pre:set work across various subjects and year groups.
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively and adhering to the schools policy.
* Ensuring students remain focused on their tasks and complete the work set.
* Promoting a positive and productive learning environment at all times.
* Responding to any immediate issues or emergencies that arise during the lesson.
* Explaining tasks and instructions clearly to students.
* Collecting completed student work and returning it to the appropriate department.
* Reporting any significant behaviour issues or concerns to the relevant staff member.
* Maintaining high professional standards and confidentiality.
* Supporting the overall daily operation of the school by being flexible and reliable.
