The Role This role has been developed as an integral part of the vaccination service and as part of the multidisciplinary team, the role will provide highly specialist advice and clinical care in support of the delivery of Immunisations across NHS Lanarkshire. This role will have the autonomy to act and accept responsibility and accountability for their actions, characterised by a level of decision making based on the highly specialist knowledge and understanding within the sphere of vaccination delivery and including Travel. This role will work alongside Public Health colleagues and the senior clinical team within vaccinations to be an expert source of advice and clinical decision making as part of that senior clinical team. What we'll need you to bring Post graduate* expertise within specialty / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in specialty and applying clinical judgement Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership Registered Healthcare practitioner with valid UK Registration (NMC / HCPC) Experience in delivering travel health and vaccines from cradle to grave. Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of specialty including study days/courses/post graduate qualification The post holder will have specific areas of delivery across the spectrum of immunisation services, with a key focus and expertise in Vaccinations including Travel, and supporting complex clinical review process as part of MDT. In conjunction with the MDT and management team, the post holder will support the development and delivery of the Immunisation Service. The post holder will possess highly specialist knowledge and experience, with evidence of post graduate qualification in travel medicine or equivalent, in addition to completion of TREC. The post holder will have completed advanced clinical assessment and independent supplementary prescribing, with evidence of experience of this in specialist role. It would be great if you also have Non-medical prescribing andClinical assessment Post graduate qualification in travel medicine or equivalent. TREC Experience of immunisations and/or within travel vaccinations Specialist knowledge of immunisations and/or travel vaccines Experience of managing a team Car Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence Contract type Staffbank Location and Working Pattern This role will be based in Various Sites accross Lanarkshire.
