Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work within a nurturing school setting in Corby.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional emotional, social and mental health (SEMH) support to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with mental health and SEMH needs
* Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and wellbeing strategies
* Working closely with the SENCO, pastoral team and external professionals
* Helping to create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
* A calm, patient and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and de-escalation skills
* A background in psychology, counselling, youth work or support work (desirable)
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
