As a Chef de Partie, you will assist in running an efficient and profitable kitchen, using quality ingredients to inspire flavorful menus and prepare attractive food. You will prepare and cook dishes with guidance from the Head Chef or Senior Chef. What will I be doing?
Responsibilities
As a Chef de Partie at Saunton Sands Hotel, you will perform tasks and follow instructions given to you by a Head or Senior Chef. You are responsible for maintaining your kitchen station and equipment throughout your shift, showing a willingness to progress and deliver customer satisfaction through the dishes you prepare. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
* Ordering quality fresh and frozen food for daily and specific needs.
* Completing requisitions and keeping stocktake records.
* Storing deliveries correctly and timely, being the keeper of keys.
* Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of your kitchen area and equipment.
* Preparing and envisioning varying menus, including daily changes.
* Delivering speedy service while ensuring food quality and presentation.
* Practicing portion control to minimize waste.
* Understanding and complying with policies on HASAWA, HACCP, fire safety, and legal requirements.
* Establishing good relationships with kitchen staff and other hotel staff to deliver excellent service.
* Being flexible to work in other Brend establishments, broadening your skills and knowledge.
