Hays are recruiting for a temporary to permanent Operations Administrator for an established organisation within the financial services sector who is seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Administrator to support a specialist project team.
Your new role
This temporary‑to‑permanent role will suit someone with strong administrative capability, excellentmunication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating daily operations, managing critical correspondence, and ensuring the smooth running of project workflows.
Key Responsibilities
1. Email & Correspondence Management
2. Manage shared project inboxes, including triaging, tracking, and responding to iingmunications.
3. Ensure timely routing of queries, following up where needed to maintain service standards.
4. Maintain high levels of accuracy and professionalism in all writtenmunication.
5. Administrative & Operational Support
6. Provide day‑to‑day administrative assistance to the project team to ensure smooth operational delivery.
7. Support in preparing, organising, and maintaining project documentation.
8. Assist with general office and organisational tasks as needed.
9. Document Coordination
10. Process internal requests for project‑related documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
11. Retrieve,pile, and distribute documentation in line with defined procedures.
12. Maintain structured andpliant filing records.
13. Identify opportunities to streamline or improve administrative processes.
What you'll need to succeed
14. 1–3 years’ experience in an administrative, coordination, or office support role.
15. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
16. Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
17. Confident written and verbalmunication.
18. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team.
19. High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving abilities
