1:1 Tuition Opportunity – Qualified Teachers (QTS) – Chorlton (M21) Looking to step away from the classroom but still want to make a real difference? We’re seeking qualified teachers in the Chorlton area to provide 1:1 tuition for pupils who are currently out of mainstream education. These learners may be out of school due to anxiety, SEND, SEMH, or medical needs. Your teaching expertise can help them rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and progress at a pace that works for them. Tuition is delivered face-to-face in pupils’ homes or local community spaces (such as libraries), offering a flexible and rewarding alternative to classroom teaching. The role at a glance: 1:1 tuition in Maths and English (other subjects as needed) Teaching primary-level content where appropriate for secondary pupils Planning and adapting sessions to individual needs and learning styles Supporting pupils with diverse barriers to education, including SEN/SEMH Recording brief progress notes for parents and local authorities What we’re looking for: ✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ideal for teachers seeking flexibility, transitioning roles, or recently retired ✔️ Strong classroom practice and ability to tailor lessons to individuals ✔️ Confidence working independently on a 1:1 basis ✔️ Experience supporting pupils with anxiety, reduced confidence, or gaps in learning ✔️ Willingness to travel within Chorlton (M21) for in-person tuition ✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What you’ll get in return: £25–£30 per hour (depending on experience) Flexible weekday hours (typically 8am–4pm) ✅ Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella deductions Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Optional CPD and training opportunities A rewarding role where your impact is clear and immediate If you’re ready for a flexible teaching role that lets you make a meaningful difference outside the classroom, we’d love to hear from you.
