Job Description
Leadership & Team Management
1. Lead, mentor, and develop the facilities maintenance and safety team, including assigning tasks, establishing performance objectives, and conducting regular evaluations.
2. Manage and coordinate vendor and contractor activities, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
3. Act as the primary point of contact for all facilities-related concerns and initiatives.
4. Develop and oversee the annual facilities and safety budgets, including forecasting capital projects and expenditures.
Facilities Operations & Management
5. Direct preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
6. Ensure that facilities, equipment, and grounds are maintained to operational, safety, and compliance standards.
7. Plan, coordinate, and oversee renovations, construction projects, and space optimization initiatives.
8. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, warranties, and service contracts.
9. Integrate sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency and waste reduction into facility operations.
Equipment & Reliability Management
10. Oversee the site equipment maintenance program to ensure reliable performance, regulatory compliance, and alignment with production requirements.
11. Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all facility and production equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
12. Manage relationships with vendors and internal maintenance teams to execute maintenance and repair activities efficiently, maintain accurate records, and drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability

The Successful Applicant
13. Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Occupational Safety, Business Administration, or related field required.
14. Master's degree preferred.
15. OSHA certification (30-hour) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) desirable.
16. Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) a plus.
17. Building maintenance experience including the oversight of contractors, preparation of service agreements and familiarity with complex HVAC, process gas and electrical systems.
