The Role We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Special Educational Needs School based in Royston. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate who is committed, caring, and experienced in SEN support. You will be working closely with pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities Providing one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs Helping manage classroom behaviour and routines Supporting with personal care when necessary Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff and SENCO The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working in a SEN setting is essential A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting students Strong communication and interpersonal skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Why Join This School?
