Housing Sub-Committee – Expert Committee Members Sought
Opportunity to Participate in Overseeing the University of Cambridge’s Housing Services
The Estates Division of the University of Cambridge is seeking external committee members for its Housing Sub-Committee, which is expected to be formed in early 2025. The purpose of this sub-committee is to oversee the University's housing services, ensure legislative and regulatory compliance, and serve as a forum for stakeholder representation regarding University housing and housing services.
The sub-committee will be chaired by a member of the University Estates Committee and will include representatives from various University committees, as well as two external members with expertise in housing compliance and regulation. Additionally, the sub-committee seeks members who are currently residents in University housing to provide insights into the 'lived experience'.
This is an unpaid role. Applicants should be able to participate fully in the work of the sub-committee, which will convene up to four times per year, with each meeting lasting approximately three hours.
For more information, including the Committee Terms of Reference and member profile, please contact Francoise Jarvis, Head of Corporate Governance at the Estates Division, at francoise.jarvis@admin.cam.ac.uk.
