As a Support Worker, you'll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have learning disabilities and mental health needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. Typical day as a Support Worker Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans. We support customers to improve their mental health, maintain independence and carry out activities of their choice. Supporting a patch area within our services and support our customers within a befriending setting. Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There's no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too. We're a supportive team and have open conversations about the needs of our customers and the service. Job details We work on a rota based just on days, your hours would be 9-5,8-4 or 10-6. This is Monday-Friday. You will be required to work 1 weekend a month. Your weekend hours would be 8-6. When working a weekend, you would have 2 days off throughout that week plus the Monday after your weekend in. Where we're flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion. Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
