Salary: PAYE £29.24 per hour | Umbrella £38.43 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 4 days/29.6 hours considered for the right candidate)
Contract: Temporary, 03/09/2025 – 26 weeks
Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker ready to make a meaningful impact? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a Registered Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care team in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire. This temporary role, covering long-term sickness, offers the chance to work with adults aged 18 and over with physical disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
Working in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act, you will undertake integrated assessments, mental capacity assessments, and reviews, while supporting unqualified staff and providing community and hospital-based interventions. This is a dynamic role requiring excellent diary management and the ability to pick up cases immediately. Hours of Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (4 days/29.6 hours considered for exceptional candidates).
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct integrated and mental capacity assessments and reviews for adults with physical disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses.
* Provide support and guidance to unqualified staff.
* Deliver community and hospital-based support to service users.
* Manage a demanding caseload efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
* Collaborate with the team to maintain high standards of care and support.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualifications: Must be registered with Social Care Wales.
* Experience: Proven experience in adult social work, with the ability to pick up cases immediately.
* Skills: Strong knowledge of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Requirements: A CV, 5 years of references/work history, a DBS Summary Form, and a signed Confidentiality Agreement. Candidates must be prepared to provide references at the interview stage and answer questions on relevant legislation.
* Other: Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
