We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Referral Receptionist at Bristol Vet Specialists.

Location: Bristol
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 10 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Every Saturday and Sunday 08.30 13.30

We have a brand-new hospitalwith a dedicated oncology prep room, procedures room and kennel space, as well as a state-of-the-art Elekta 6MV linear accelerator capable of advanced image-guided treatments. Covering over 30,000 square feet, it is custom-built with uniquely designed facilities and the latest cutting-edge equipment.

With Specialists in all disciplines able to treat anything and everything under one roof, the hospital acts as a flagship hub for small animal pet owners in the Southwest and Wales. Our excellent location is easily accessible from major motorways M5, M4, M49.

About the role:
Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
Answering phones and booking appointments
Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
Registering new clients
Completing insurance forms
Liaising with referring practices and with the Specialists Vet Department to schedule appointments
Taking payments
And most importantly, providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the hospital

What we're looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:
Previouscustomer serviceexperience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
Would possibly suit a student already within theVeterinary industry
Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
An excellent communicator with strong empathy
Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
