Deputy Manager – Residential Care Home

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable care home looking for a skilled and compassionate Deputy Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to step into a leadership role, supporting the Manager and ensuring the highest standards of care for all clients.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff during your shift, assisting with operational management, and ensuring the delivery of person‑centered care that promotes dignity, respect, and quality of life. You will also play a key role in quality assurance, staff training, and liaising with healthcare professionals and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and deputise for the Manager, supervising staff and promoting a professional, caring environment.
* Oversee the safe administration, storage, and ordering of medications.
* Liaise with clients’ GPs, hospitals, families, and other care agencies.
* Assist with staff recruitment, induction, training, and development.
* Help implement and maintain quality assurance measures within the Home.
* Represent the Home positively within the local community.
* Manage support services in the Manager’s absence.
Skills & Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care, or Level 3 or above in Leadership & Management.
* Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
* Commitment to delivering person‑centered care and promoting client dignity.
