About Us

Cornerstone Property Group works with landlords and local authorities across the South East to provide accommodation for homeless families. We deliver with purpose and professionalism.

We believe in ownership, accountability, and bringing energy to the job. You won’t be micro-managed here, but you will be expected to deliver, think, and lead within your function.


The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Finance Manager to take full control of our finance function on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). You’ll report directly to the Operations Manager and Managing Director. This is a standalone finance role with admin support, but no other finance staff. You will be the financial engine of the business.

What You’ll Own – and the Outcomes You’ll Deliver

* Run the finance operation end to end, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness across all areas
* Manage bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll (via SafeHR), and reconciliations, delivering clean, audit-ready records every month
* Own accounts payable and receivable, ensuring we have clear visibility and control over cash movement
* Deliver accurate, insightful monthly management accounts and reporting packs that enable strategic, long-term decision making
* Produce forward-looking cash flow forecasts and budgets to inform operational planning
* Use Xero and Dext to optimise workflows and reporting, creating efficient systems that reduce delay and manual effort
* Identify and implement process improvements that increase speed, accuracy, and automation across finance
* Work collaboratively with the admin team and other departments to ensure financial decisions are grounded in real operational context


What Success Looks Like by Month Three

* You fully understand the business model, cost structure, and revenue mechanics
* You’ve taken ownership of monthly reporting and deliver it with minimal input
* You’ve identified at least one area of inefficiency and implemented a solution
* You’ve created clear visibility for leadership across our key financial metrics


Who You Are

You don’t wait for direction. You see what needs doing and you get it done. You’re not just detail-focused – you understand how financial data drives better decisions across a business.

* You have experience running finance in an SME or owner-led business
* You’re confident using Xero and finance automation tools like Dext
* You think strategically, act decisively, and execute with precision
* You take real ownership, bring solutions not problems, and want to contribute beyond just your tasks
* You bring a positive attitude to work and lift the energy of those around you

Working Hours & Location

* Part-time, 25 hours per week
* Office-based in Gravesend, Kent
