SEND Learning Support Assistant – Brentwood Location: Brentwood, Essex Pay: £89.47 - £95 per day Contract: Full-time We are seeking a skilled and committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school community in Brentwood. This role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact by supporting children with a range of special educational needs (SEN) and fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Individualised Support: Provide 1:1 assistance to pupils with SEN to help them access and engage with learning. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to deliver individual education plans tailored to each child’s specific needs. Behaviour Support: Use effective strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour. Progress Monitoring: Keep accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to reviews with staff and parents. Inclusive Practice: Promote integration and participation for all pupils within the classroom and wider school community. Candidate Requirements: Previous experience supporting children with SEN in an educational setting. Strong understanding of different learning needs and the ability to adapt teaching approaches accordingly. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals. Right to work in the UK and a valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
