Overview
I am recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor seeking an experienced MEICA Project Manager to deliver infrastructure projects as part of the Southern Water Framework. The role will focus on overseeing the management and execution of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) projects within the water sector. This is a unique opportunity to join a top-tier engineering firm with a strong presence in the UK’s infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of complex MEICA projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all technical standards
*
Manage project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration
*
Maintain robust health, safety, and environmental standards across all project activities
*
Develop and report on financial forecasts, track project risks, and monitor performance
*
Communicate effectively with senior management, clients, designers, and consultants on project updates and technical issues
*
Provide leadership to ensure project outputs meet all quality, cost, and schedule requirements
*
Coordinate project interdependencies and resources, ensuring integration across multiple projects within the Southern Water programme
*
Manage key stakeholder relationships and contribute to maintaining the contractor's reputation for high-quality delivery
Requirements
Essential:
*
10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in the utilities or water sector, specifically with MEICA projects
*
Strong leadership and team management skills
*
Extensive experience in managing budgets, programme schedules, and quality control
*
In-depth knowledge of HSEQ standards
*
Affinity for collaborative working, managing both internal teams and external stakeholders
*
CSCS & SMSTS certification
Desirable:
*
Degree or equivalent (HNC/HND) in Engineering or related field
*
APM certification or equivalent project management qualification
*
First Aid qualification
*
Experience working on the Southern Water Framework or similar water sector projects
